Hi I’m Krystianna!

I live in Nassau, Bahamas where the pace is slow and the sun is really hot 98% of the year. That means lots of beach days! Which is exactly how I like to spend my weekends unless I am in the process of painting something, sewing something, or Pinterest-ing my life away looking for another fun project.

My husband Nick and I got married and purchased our first home in 2013 in a cute neighborhood called High Vista (hence the title Pinder’s Island Vista). The home was built in the 40’s and has lots of island charm. It also has lots of outdated features that we are anxious to update.

We both have full time jobs and my husband’s job does not end at 5 p.m. or ever for that matter! He runs a charter boat company called Born Free Fishing Charters (we would love it if you would check them out!) and I am an accountant from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

However, we are in love with our newly purchased home and are currently addicted to making it ours by putting lots of time, blood, sweat, and tears into it. We are finding ways to spruce up some old pieces of furniture and counting pennies to buy new things and work on new projects. We by no means are experienced home makers or DIYers which should make this blog all the more interesting.

Pinder’s Island Vista will be my outlet to track all these projects and share a little of what inspires me as we accomplish it all one room or piece of furniture at a time! You can also find me posting pictures of our home and current projects on my Instagram and soon onto my Pinterest page as well!
